How can I convert a fan motor with rechargeable batteries?
I'm moving to a part of Africa that has electricity unstable. I found a battery powered fan (8 D cells) that I want to take with me to cool down at night. However, it would ideal if I could convert it to be fully recharged. I would be able to leave plugged in and recharging batteries in the device, without a separate charger. I'm pretty handy and can wire / soldering, but I'm not sure I know all the factors involved in doing that. Can someone give me some advice / help here? Thank you.
A fan does not cool anything. It actually adds heat to the air. You'd be much better everything is going somewhere more civilized.
