Is the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) air conditioned?
I'm thinking of places to live in London as I start a job there in August - I know the tube gets extremely hot so don't really want to use that every day especially in the summer, but is the DLR any better?
No, the DLR is not airconditioned.
Like the Underground they have vents that you can open, and the side windows also open. One of the things that makes the DLR alot less hot during the Summer compared to the Underground is the fact that none of it is enclosed in a tunnel. Ventilation is excellent, because it's all outside (appart from Bank station which is in a tunnel momentarily).
