What kind of scope and rifle set up does a US Army Sniper use?
I think the police use a Remington 700 Tactical in 308 or 7.62 NATO, but I was wondering if the US army uses the same set up? Also I was wondering what scope they use, I'm thinking it's probably some kind of ACOG, but I'm not sure.

US Army uses M24, which is an accurized version of Remington 700 in 7.62 NATO which can be upgraded to a 300 WinMag with a small modification.
The scope is 10x42 Leupold Ultra M3A with Mil-dot reticle.
ACOG is used by regular soldiers, not snipers.
Yes, you can afford all of this stuff. There are civilian versions for sale which are just as good.
